OGDEN, Utah – The Big Sky Conference is pleased to announce the addition of Jim Adrian for the newly created Coordinator of Softball Officials role.Adrian is already familiar with the conference having assigned games for Big Sky schools in Portland State and Montana over the last three softball seasons. Adrian also brings a wealth of experience serving as the Softball Supervisor of Officials for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) since 2005. At the GNAC, Adrian supervises 79 NCAA officials for eight institutions. He also assigns and supervises the Desert Stinger Tournament in Las Vegas, Nev. Which is the largest collegiate softball tournament run by a single institution in the nation.“I'm excited about being selected to coordinate the softball program for the Big Sky Conference,” said Adrian. “I'm looking forward to working with the conference, coaches, and providing quality officials for each contest.”Additionally, Adrian was the Supervisor of Softball Officials for the Northwest Athletic Conference for 13 years overseeing 75 officials for eight institutions from 2006 to 2018. Adrian also runs the Northwest College Softball Umpire Camp every year which brings in over 50 umpires a year to train with officials that have worked the NCAA College World Series and Super Regionals.
